"This is a beautiful new 3-bedroom craftsman home built in the heart of the city. The winter of 2003 we were looking for a home where we could live for the rest of our lives, preferably in the city and with a yard. We had three criteria: central A/C, a formal dining room, and to be able to look outdoors from the kitchen sink. When we first saw our new home it was far from finished. But the neighborhood was terrific and right on a public transportation route. The night before we closed on buying the house the realtor had an open house for the neighborhood and we met 30 or 40 neighbors – this had not happened anywhere else we had lived in the past 40 years.
